    professional evaluation

Has anyone had a professional evaluation of their optical store?,
One that can determine cash flow and valuation considering equipment,Dr's hours, gross sales, money you run though the business account, competition, etc....
Is it worth the $5,000.00? Do they handle the sale? What's the commish?
I know Dentists do this most of the time.
    Just wondering.....................

I see more and more of the older guys selling their stores to those newer optical chains that popped up over the last while and are growing fast.

For sure they will go over your financial details to make you an offer, at no charge.

I dont think that you can compare with dentists anymore, their business is too much personalized and they do not compete with internet price cutting companies as the optical retailers are facing these days at an increasing pace.

$5K is way too expensive. Shouldn't cost you more than $2K to get a professional evaluation done by a CA. Don't use an agent to sell either - that's a complete waste of time and funds. Real estate agents are scum bags and do nothing to earn a large commish.
