PINELLAS PARK, Fla., Feb. 10, 2003 – Transitions Optical, Inc. today introduced its new Education Faculty, a group of five esteemed eyecare professionals. The Faculty will provide thought leadership, counsel and guidance on the company’s expanding and vital education initiatives.

“We’ve brought together a dynamic group of ophthalmologists, optometrists and opticians, whose insight and diverse professional and academic credentials and experiences, will help guide Transitions’ growing education programs,” said Susy Cabral, professional and public relations manager, Transitions. “Building on our education leadership is vital to Transitions’ continuing commitment to industry partners and to aiding eyecare professionals in providing excellent eye health information to patients.”

“The dedication and passion of the Transitions Education Faculty professionals are impressive and highly valued by our company,” said Cabral. “We are thrilled to have them on board.”

“Effective industry and patient educational offerings cannot be developed without contributions and relevant perspectives of those on the front line providing patient care,” said Denis Fisk, global director of education, Transitions. “Educated and thoughtful guidance from experienced eyecare professionals is particularly important in 2003 as we raise the level of our education offerings from a practice-building and product-knowledge concentration to include focus on important eye health issues.“

Fisk will consult with Transitions Education Faculty members on education strategy, curriculum content, industry trends and eye health topics. “They have already made a significant contribution to this year’s initiatives. I will continue to rely on them to help Transitions bring new, needed and relevant programs to the industry and consumers,” noted Fisk.
