We are looking for an experienced Optical Lab Manager for our Support Center located in Morrisville, NC.

Description:
A rewarding position for an individual that is highly organized, self-motivated, detail-oriented and customer-service focused. Responsible for handling all optical laboratory duties for a multi-location practice with a loyal customer base where patient care always comes first.
Key Responsibilities:
· Inspect lenses and invoices upon arrival to ensure accurate billing for Pair 50’s, remakes and no charges.
· Coordinate scheduling of edging appointments with patients using their own frames.
· Management of digital tracer roll out
· Management of stock lens program
· Management of lens turnaround time to < 5 working day average.
· Time Management- Maintaining best work flow to reduce “ late jobs” status on all optical jobs
· Work with lens vendor rep for staff training and marketing co-op.
· Integration of lab management software for VSP and EHR integration.
· Simplification of lens menu for maximum SLA efficiency.
· Edge lenses to the appropriate prescription.
· Mount lenses in metal, plastic, or rimless frames.
· Inspect mounted lenses for conformance to ANSI specifications.
· Work with patients and Optical Sales Consultants both in-person and via-phone to trouble shoot issues and provide status on finished goods and all lens and material related issues.
· Manage patient notification with the Optical Sales Consultants on all late jobs and back orders.
· Work directly with frame vendors on all patient specialty orders.
· Make recommendations to senior managements on new technologies and practices that will drive efficiencies and cost savings within the lab.
· Work directly with outside vendor to train staff on new products as they become available.
· Analyze, solve, and correct customer service issues using the LEAP technique (Listen, Empathize, Ask, and Produce).
· Manage relationship between Triangle Visions and outside laboratory.
· Order and stock all laboratory supplies.
· Ensure all glasses are completed within published time frames.
· Manage all shipping and receiving.
· Cultivate an organized and orderly atmosphere.
· Develop and train lab staff to have the knowledge to full fill all lab duties
· Commit to finish lab responsibilities by end of day /week
· All other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
· AA or BA/BS desired
· 1-3 years prior Optical Lab Management experience
· Adaptable and flexible with the ability to multi-task.
· Self-motivated and detail-oriented.
· Interest in healthcare
· Strong communication skills
· Must present a professional appearance
