Looking for frame manufacturers both in the U.S. and abroad.

Preferable high quality manufacturer with reasonable price.

If anyone has a list of manufactures that would be great too.

Do you have anything in mind? There is such a range available now I could get more specific, but here is a general overview from experience with buying frames.

A lot of our higher quality frames come out of Germany, and unfortunately there seem to be very few that are actually produced in the US. We carry a very wide range of durability, style, and price. Obviously an initial buy in should offer different deals depending on your volume and credit reputation.

Kala Eyewear out of Golden Gate is currently the only US line we carry. Basic plastics.

Safilo will give you a blanket of lines that vary in quality and price. (Personal opinion- Gucci was their most high end line with superb quality, but they are working on doing direct sales now. It is also the most expensive line.)

Luxottica is going to give you the widest range and most options. There are also a big corporation that has questionable quality at best and wavering service depending on the day. Most independents understand that their brands get people in the door but supporting them does not support your small business.

Look for the 'little guys' out there. It can be more trial and error for quality but you will be set aside for your unique selection. We recently added William Morris out of London which is off to a great start. Ovvo out of Germany is the most durable yet simple design and has been thriving for a few years now. Fysh and Kliik have absolutely beautiful designs but we are finding have poor paint and structural quality.

We have worked with many other companies as well and I will be happy to give you personal opinions on other specific lines if you want to address them. I hope this helps!

Thank you Quince! We are looking for a manufacturer who can produce our own design of sunglasses and eyeglasses. It would be ideal if it is located in the US but we figured it is mostly gonna be in other countries. If you or someone you know who are able to manufacture, please let me know.
