neat idea!
Keep in mind, that the vast majority of folks in the optical field don't actually know much about optics. Many dispensaries have opticians who are salespeople with a rudimentary understanding of fitting, and in many cases no understanding of optics. There are lab techs that know how to push buttons but don't understand why they are pushing those particular buttons. Probably the only people from large chains on here are the lab types who genuinely have a thirst for knowledge. I assume this page can be viewed by anyone, including guests? Many of those people probably aren't registered and therefore would not participate.
Although apathy does seem to be rampant in the field and I agree that it is sad that only 25 people thus far have voted. I just checked the main discussion forums page and it said "There are currently 255 users online. 3 members and 252 guests."

That list is incomplete, as it does not cover many of the present active posters.
There is a good number of seasoned knowledgeable people posting on OptiBoard that are not working in retail offices.
Posters can come from other optical domains as manufacturing, consulting, researching or teaching, or even be retired.
So do not blame a lame participation on a survey that is badly set up.
sorry to disappoint again to the king, but it pretty much spells out what I was looking for. Survey did have a max, and in any field 8 or 9 would not be enough to cover job titles, so picked what I thought was relevant. My survey Chris, don't like it? Move on as I don't really care what you think, sure I'm not alone.
