I'm trying to find a good (i.e. cheap) source of B& L nose pads. I just ordered some from Amcon, but I think there are likely better deals out there.

Is anybody still making frames with those obsolete pads? I haven't need one in years. If I had someone come in with an old B&L large metal I'd tell him to donate them to a museum, or put the antique in a shadow box and hang it on the wall...
I'm using it on a Pro Design frame which normally would have mushroom pads. These pads seem to pop out or tear very easily. Sometimes an old solution is a good one. I'm actually surprised you would be down on that type of pad, Chris.
jefe..............Actually I was a champion in selling B&L Aviator Raybans back home in my Fathers optical business in Switzerland, when they hit Europe with them pads.
My home town was the center of the Swiss textile industry at that time, with a lot of rich manufacturers, which most of them moved the business to China like everybody else.
I can send you a couple pair for the cost of the mail plus a little over. PM me your address. Walter
I hate those NP! Maybe it's me, but I could never get them off without a lot of cursing under my breath. Darn things.
As always Hilco has you covered...
Rayban still uses these pads on some frames.
And Santinelli sells a fantastic crimp plier made EXACTLY for attaching these pads easily and perfectly!
