    Polarized progressive lenses in Trivex?

New to this forum, what a great resource. i spent several hours reading different discussions last night until my wife pulled the plug..

Have a long time pt of my employer who has not been happy with the Xperio S series for sunglasses in poly. For regular glasses we moved him from the S to a W3 (we are 99.9% Essilor) in Trivex, and he is much happier.
He wants polarized sunglases in Trivex now, and the lab does not offer that from Essilor. His complaints on the S were distance acuity, transition, but reported good near and medium vision. PT is an avid outdoorsman and fishes several days a week. (Sight fishing) Near vision is described as tying knots and opening beer (he is entertaining) and then scanning shallow areas in the distance for fish to cast to. He wants impact resistance in his lenses for fishing and shooting sports. He mentioned that one of his fishing buddies got Zeiss lenses and another bought Smith sunglasses and wanted to know if they were an option. I see that Zeiss has several options of the type that he is requesting, but I do not have any personal experience with their different options. He and his family have been good customers for my us, so we would like to make him happy if we can.
    His Rx
    Sp Cyl. Axis. Near Add
    OD. 0.00. -2.00. 100. +2.50
    OS. +0.50. -4.00. 082. +2.50

Any feedback on the Zeiss or others for his specific use would be appreciated.

    Scott

Are you looking for standard colors, or something more specialized for contrast enhancement for those sports? (i.e. Yellow/Rose/etc)

He had the Xperio brown and has been happy with that over the grey. Looking at the various browns, amber, copper, bronze it would seem you would need samples from everyone to determine if an apple was an apple.

Zeiss is first-rate. If you need a +6 or +8 BC, use Shamir's Attitude.
