Edger Help

Hello All,
I have a Santinelli 7070 edger that will no longer trace grooved rimless eyewear (Full wire/zyl frames trace with no issue). Its seems there's an issue with some type of light that is in the tracer itself and needs replaced. The problem is the repair is pretty costly to have done. Has anyone else had this issue? Anyone have success repairing it themselves? Suggestions? Ideas? Thanks in advance.

I have recently had a tracer problem with my 7070. My experience has been that these problems generally require a new tracer. In the case of the 7070 your only options are buying a used tracer. There are not many options out there. You will find some used refurbished tracers occasionally on ebay or you will find "tracer services" where they promise to take your tracer and fix it. Either way you can figure on $700-1200. If you find a less expensive option let me know (I'm in the same boat).
