We give roughly one weeks salary, and a Holiday party, including spouses, at a nice restaurant.
We get a cash bonus that is fairly close to a week's salary though it may be higher depending business factors
Depends on the year. It's always cash. This year mine was 1 and 3/4 weeks pay.
one weeks pay
I'm honestly jealous. No such generosity for us "big-box" folks.

There was one unwritten rule in the European Retail Optical business that you paid a Christmas Bonus as an extra of the regular PayDay amount, depending on the yearly business success.
In many countries, opticians are paid monthly and then the Christmas bonus was one month pay.
In Canada it is usually bi-weekly, and if business was good so is the bonus.
Some of us should be getting 2, I am still waiting for mine from, Warby Parker.
I didn't attend the funeral, but I sent a nice letter saying I approved of it. Mark Twain
This year we did a holiday party where everyone in the company got a prize through a raffle system (Prizes ranged from gift baskets to bottles of wine to footballs signed by former and current Steelers to Kindle Fires). We also got a cash bonus this year as well. Mine was $125.00
Nothing in all the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity
One weeks pay and party at nice restaurant and gift cards about $175.
we got roughtly 2 weeks bonus and year-end party
What exactly is a Holiday Party?
still waiting on mine......
On average, would you say these are handed out at the company gathering? Ours was 2 weeks ago.
I feel like Scrooge himself. I did the dinner with significant others at a nice Italian restaurant where the tab was $435 plus 100 bucks cash to each, totalling $1435. If I'd have done the 1 weeks salary plus the dinner it would have been around 10K.
Bah, Humbug!
1k check for us...
the office got kindle fires and a 250 bonus and a nice dinner at a fancy restaurant (which where I bring my girl all the time now.)
$100 gift card
A Fresh Start...
Having just opened with a new owner, new office, etc.. it is nice to have a chance to start fresh with a vision closer to my own. So with all the that, you won't hear me complain that I didn't get a fat check or gift card.
I am happy that I got both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day off paid. We also switched to a PTO system that will give me more paid time off in 2016. Time I can spend with family.. that's what is important to me. (Especially with a parents who are not doing well and living in another state)
