Does anyone know where I can get a mirror that lets patients see the glasses they are trying on when they are not wearing their prescription glasses? I had a patient request it today, but we don't have one in our office. Thanks!

You might try an illuminated magnifying mirror, available everywhere. There is no such thing as a prescription mirror.
I've seen in the past a little compact looking device with a mirror and flip up lenses, used for make up use that could work. Have no idea if they are still made.
Next best thing is pop on a disposable contact, or hand them a trial lens to hold in front of one eye. Or invest in a video setup.
A smartphone or tablet works real well.
Get some trial lenses with the springs loaded on the rim you can place them into the frame, and place the closest to the Rx into the frame so they can see themselves in the frame they want.
I think I have a magic-mirror sitting around somewhere ...
The patient probably used one at another shop years ago. As I recall one of the big chains promoted a mirror that took your picture. I never was interested as I thought it would bog down the selection process. Like other posters said a tablet or cell phone today can to the same thing.
Rx windscreens ... next billion dollar product!
I remember the 'AR' coated windsheilds back years back ... No joy for Oldsmobile. The new Merc's look like they got it right, though.

I thought it sounded weird too, a prescription mirror because everyone's would be different. Then I thought, maybe it was something new that just came out. The patient said the place where she got her exam done had it, so I just wanted to see what it was all about. I offered to use a tablet or my smartphone to take her picture, but she didn't want that. Thanks everyone for the help!
