    does v.sp actually pay anything for options that are "covered with additional copay?"

    Does VS.P actually take any money out of their own pockets towards...ahem..."lens enhancements" that are "covered with additional copay?"

    In other words, does vsp "cover" anything for these options or they just forcing discounts and the use of a contracted lab?

    No. They have contracted for those discounts.

    You give the patient the discounted price and in turn they will charge you a discounted amount for the upgrade.

    So they technically count it as your getting paid, just the patient is paying you directly and then you VSP gets tgere cut via the chargeback.

    This IMHO is slightly better than the Eyemed take 35 or 40% off.
