    Why 1.60?

Ok so was talking with a buddy at another shop and he loves 1.60(he's at LC you do the math) says its the best for almost any RX.
    My question:
With trivex around and 1.67 for higher rx's why use 1.60 unless you have to? Am I missing something that should be slapping me in the face? If I am feel free to slap me with it.

ABBE. Best optics, when compared to polycarbonate.
I didn't attend the funeral, but I sent a nice letter saying I approved of it. Mark Twain

...When compared to everything but Glass, CR-39 and Trivex.

Paul: I've almost wiped poly from where I work, with VSP as the exception. The only time I'd use it is above a +/-4 safety lens. And I still feel dirty. lol
SO I'm not crazy then? Well...relatively speaking.

LC is not setup to process trivex.

would kill half their edgers in a month.

cause you know someone will process a -10D in trivex. I've seen a -22d in cr39 walk out of an LC door

Dispensing only one or two material severely limits a dispensers palette. Not sure why any would actually bother doing so.

ML43 I remember the old pros and Spartans, though the 7E's could do it. Yeah I've seen some derpy stuff walk out of my old store.

Uillean: I'll use other materials and do cr-39 from time to time. Qspex is 1.55 I think. but for poly I don't see any reason to use it all that often.

stores have to more than 4mil annually before they qualify for a 7E.

there's only a few of those in every region

In my shop I tier $$$ for both 1.60 and Trivex as the same. I use the two materials interchangeably, hedging for cost, stock lens availability and thinness of profile - UNLESS the patient requires saftey lenses.
