Articles about online glasses?

I know some of you write for trade mags. Any good articles on the topic of the online eyeglasses market? Thanks

I am trying to follow the news on on line optical s on a world wide basis, and you probably get them on OptiBoard as fast or faster than the trade magazines can. Just check the OB postings. Tha latest was the one om Luxottica even supplying free lenses if you purchase the frame through their website.

Trade magazines are paid by Lux for heavy advertising and might be kind of soft on them so the will not loose the advertising Dollar.

I write for a trade magazine, and I have never been asked to cover online opticals. The magazines know WHO their audience is, and what that audience wants.... and it's NOT online.

Thank you. I'll try Vision Monday. I just want to link to some articles on online ordering (and the inherant possible problems with that) for our companies facebook page, try to educate the consumers a bit. Of course I could write an article myself, but I think when it's already in print , it tends to lend more attention.

24/7.......thanks for the compliment.

However I can also talk all day about making lenticular lenses in the shape of the frame as well as making and repairing turtle shell frames and also successfully selling them.

The way of practising the optical trade is dangerously on the way to the death row, highly supported by some of the largest corporation in the field.

That's just it Chris, with your wealth of ophthalmic knowledge, you should post more on the technical aspects of being an optician rather than telling us WP's alexia rating just went up. It's really a waste that that knowledge is in you, but is over-ridden by an obsession over internet eyewear sales. No offence Chris, I wish you well...
