One of Quebec's major optical problems is the PRIMA-DONNA ATTITUDE of it's optometerist. Internet sales are a miniscule problem compared to having tointer-related with optometrist in Quebec.

I agree and when I see other provinces it is not the same as also in France where internet became just a drop in the ocean ! But laws in Qc are so tough that they put back the subject every time they have a chance to and that makes ODs think that it is the only problem out there !!!

Redhot Jumper as far as I can see, it ain't going to get any better for the small businessman.

Because the small business man has given in to the big corporations who did tickle his fancy for many years, got rich doing it and are now out for the kill. The internet has not helped the small Ma and Pa business because they have embraced it to the fullest, but are crying shame when others do it.

Now that Luxottica has entered the retail on-line optical market offering live service of adjustments through their LensCrafters does not help either.

    Lets see your comments.

We are now aware of Mr. Schafier's credentials and he is an optical person. OSI is a major group of optometrists in Quebec. and they are quite sucessful. My question to Mr. S would be ....is your question related to the betterment of ALL ECP,s or are you looking to reap outside information to benefit your company ?

    Dear Coupe,

First of all I find very childish and immature to have put my information out there (if anybody needs to check my credential my linked in is public !!!)
Second of all I do a lot of research on the market not only for my company as we have people dedicated !
Finally even if I would get answers to my question I really can't see in what it would benefit the company I work for.....Please give me some light because I try to understand your point !!!!

Chris, I thought the LC senario would have taken place when NL bough G&S. They had the golden opportunity to do waht Lc is doing but could have beat them to it.
