We currently have a Sales Territory Manager career opportunity with Essilor Instruments. The territory includes Northern California (north of San Luis Obispo), Oregon, Washington, Northern Nevada, Utah, Idaho.


JOB SUMMERY
This position will establish Essilor Instruments branded products within the optical retail community. Introduce EI product and increase sales at a profitable level while working closely with assigned ECP accounts. Focus will be towards Optometrists, Opticians, Ophthalmologist, Retail and Wholesale labs to determine and evaluate the need for finishing equipment that best fits their business goals.




ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Responsible for selling to optical retail accounts within an assigned territory.
2. Conduct Product training using simple terms to explain the advantages of Essilor Instruments.
3. Conduct effective seminars and demonstrations for staff and decision makers.
4. Set up and training of most products sold.
5. Assist with technical questions and trouble shooting, or pass on to technical support, if necessary.
6. Monitor sales developments, performs territory and account planning activities to achieve sales forecast.
7. Introduce sales promotions, new products, new collateral, merchandising materials, etc.
8. Work with wholesale labs to determine accounts having the best potential to purchase equipment.
9. Demonstrates an obsession for customer service, resolves customer issues in a timely manner.
10. Monitors competitor activities with the territory, communicates with VP of Sales to implement competitive sales strategies.
11. All other reasonable tasks as assigned by the leadership team

The successful candidate must be able to travel an extensive territory, be self-motivated and results-driven with the ability to organize, plan and report effectively. Optical industry experience, selling to ophthalmologists, optometrist, and opticians, is preferred but not required. Products will include (but not limited to) finishing equipment, service plans, and consumables.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.. Excellent communication skills, oral and written (English language). Must have the ability to speak in front of an audience, primarily to present product seminars. 6. Must have the ability to perform in a fast paced environment. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
