    Shark Tank Slaps down entrepeneurs...

    Did you watch it?

They proposed multiple frames for the same lenses that let the consumer snap them in and out of other frames as they wish.

What could possibly go wrong with this scenario!!!

Their problem from most of the Sharks point of view was they weren't opticians and in over their heads.

The entrepreneur's turned down a "can't lose" (for him!) offer from Mr Wonderful but as he pointed out they were in a "brutally" competitive market.

    So true!

    Love the show!!!

its a novel concept but they were paying to much for lenses. I also love the show!

Love Shark Tank, but wasnt able to catch the show, even with a heads up. Was their presentation something like the Allison "Try Change"?

I watched it. I wasn't impressed with it. It's very consumer friendly until something breaks.

As easily as those lenses inserted from the backside of the frame, one has to wonder about not only about how easily lenses would dislodge, but how safe are they.

Mastercard did a commercial years ago on internet entrepreneurs who "invented" rubber eyeglass frames. Remember it? Great idea but if you looked closely you'd notice the women founders were always in a reclined position when wearing them. As opticians we'd know they'd have no structural strength without a strap and were doomed to be another Optigrab.

I'm totally addicted to Shark Tank. We did see this episode, and my poor husband had to listen to me snarking at the poor guys on what a lousy idea this is. He can't even escape optical when we are watching tv lol.
