Who is using Trace and Transmit for Edging?

Are you using Trace and Transmit to send your jobs to your favorite lab to surface and edge for you?
How is it working out for you?

Tried a number of labs and it never really worked for me ... Until I started doing business with Luzerne Optical. I can trust my traces to come back "spot on" in both the Rx and in sizing. Yeah, every once in a while I'll get a job back that is cut a little too large or a little to small but that occurance is rare. The "secret" is coordinating the cut so that my machine is "adjusted" to the sizing parameters of their edgers. I did the same thing with other labs but would end up sending 50 percent back because of issues.

Why so many lenses only? We just instituted a $35 fee if you have only one pair of glasses and we need to make an appointment to swap out the lenses.

I'd use it but every optical who brings it up wants me to but the tracer. No thanks, if you want me to T&T loan me the equipment to do so.

We do all jobs ourselves, and I like it that way. T&T doesn`t work for me. I want to be proud of my work, and want to control the entire process. I`m OCD like that.

Sizing has not been the issue. Bevel type and placement has. "'Nuff said!"
