In store Virtual Try on terminal

Anyone here have install one of the stand alone or ipad based virtual try-on system? I am thinking about getting one to show client different lens option and do not which one I should get. I am leaning toward the iPad based system because of space. Any recommendation or experience?

    thanks

What a concept! Virtually try on virtual frames. Sell virtual eyewear with virtual lenses. The customer pays with virtual money which you deposit in your virtual bank account. You go virtually bankrupt. Sounds like a virtual plan.

You not getting it man. I am referring to the something like where u can take a picture of a client with a frame on and then show them what it would look likes with/without AR, Transition, etc.

And honestly, client today expect us to be high tech even if it is just for show. It is all about presentation. Old school show and tell doesn't work anymore.

We just pop the demo lenses out to show people what they look like with AR.

Keep in mind that LC is now using these VTO/Measuring systems in their stores. That will become what patients expect from all ECPs. They serve other functions as well. In a busy office, they can occupy patients who may have to wait a bit before an exam, or the optician's attention. They are super easy for patients to use. When not in use as VTOs, most systems will provide video loops that offer patient information, display products, etc. on the video displays.

HOYA has an iPad app now that does exactly what CalCal is asking. Put in the patient's RX and lens design/features and it will 'show' the end result. I haven't physically seen or tried it yet. Shamir Spark is also out there tho my rep says to hold off on that until further updates.

I noticed there are few to no reviews for a lot of the apps. HOYA app/HVC Viewer, Smart Mirror etc - We use a custom made photo booth so people can see what a frame looks like but no augmented reality tech. It's a fun and helpful tool.
