I used those 20 some years ago! Are they still available?
No but I have two pair. Steve aske for them
Someone had emailed me about these and Coupe had generously offered to help.

Nice, I had them in clear, the lady that wore them could tolerate NO weight on her nose, I bet she had 10 pair of them. She loved them.
Are they available in a thicker, heavier, black color with temples
I didn't attend the funeral, but I sent a nice letter saying I approved of it. Mark Twain
Any ideas of where I could find one these days? This would work perfect for a patient that has a full Cpap machine that likes to read as she falls asleep!
They were first called AstroOptics in the 1970s
Didn't that outfit in Florida sell them? They had all that kind of wacky stuff back in the day. Franel Optical?
I know that, Chris, that's why I said "back in the day". I was just asking the question if perhaps the setup came from them.
You opticians are a crafty lot. Why not start with one of those head-mounted flashlights in the camping section and affix a frame to that?
Call it something fun, like "the Strapper". "Strap on. Strap off. Strap on/strap off...the Strapper". Get that old lady from "The Clapper" commercial. I'll bet she's only about 110 years old by now.
Or use Chris as the spokesmodel.
Wow! I remember selling one of those back in the 1980's. The woman couldn't have anything on her nose(don't remember why) and would have to hold glasses up to her face while reading. I remember she was so happy she was almost crying!
Well the glasses have been sold and mailed out to the client. Apparnetly they are for his wife. Steve, thank you for the assist. Always nice to help out when needed.
Thanks coupe!
