    Suggestions on Finish Lens Suppliers

    Howdy!

Just wanted some advice on good sources for finish lenses. Specifically Poly Prem A/R. I'm looking for good value (if possible), something between $XXXX a pair with the coatings licked on by kittens, and $XXXX a pair for lenses with a 40 layer coating and a thousand year warranty.

As always, any and all help is appreciated. I'd much rather take the advice direct from clients than the reps who whisper such sweet, sweet nothings about their products.

    thanks!

I will supply you at cost plus and set up a consignment just so I can visit a few times per year and make it an official business expense.

Somo UltraClear would fall in between those two categories of AR. Definitely not Crizal or Purecoat, but damn good... for the money probably the value to you and client is unbeatable.

Yes SOMO are great value lenses. I get mine from ODG www.opticaldg.com at great prices, and they have Crizal, Hoya, Seiko, and Resolution as well. Also Lenstock.com has everything as well, and some partner labs can get you discounts through them.

If you're looking for premium lenses and aren't planning on buying bulk quantities, check with your labs. I order all my Crizal one at a time as needed, get them next day free shipping with my daily Rx orders, and get warranty credit quick and easy without return shipping. I pay a very tiny bit more per pair, but the ease of ordering, shipping, and returning and getting my normal lab customer service is great. If my lab had SOMO at prices close to ODG I would just get everything from them.

I have had great success with the Vision Ease Super Hydro for a very inexpensive poly stock AR. Seiko Surpass ECP has worked really well for me as well in a much wider variety of lens options.
