Anyone using eyefinity ehr? I need a mentor...

We started today using eyefinity ehr with the ipad ap. I have been conscripted to scribe for the doc until he feels comfortable using it by himself. I'm looking for someone familiar with the exam process on the ipad ap to walk me through a few things.
No time/energy for debates on why we are using what we are using. Not my decision, not my pay grade.
Just looking for some help if anyone is able/willing.
    Thanks.

I have not used this combo. However I do belong to a facebook group for Officemate Examwriter users. A few of the members have converted to Eyefinity EHR and are using tablets. Might check with some of the folks there.

We have been using Eyefinity EHR since October 1, 2014. We converted from ExamWriter in order to meet the patient portal demand of Meaningful Use Stage 2. It has been an uphill battle, as I do not feel that the program was really all that ready for release. We struggle with it on an almost daily basis. I will say that it has improved in the last 7 months, but there is still a lot of things that could be made better/easier.

If you have questions about it, I can try to help, as I am pretty familiar with the system. We are currently running it on 3 iPads as well as on the desktops.

I came to this forum hoping to find others using this system, but it seems there are a lot less people on it than I originally thought.

We got audited with CMS for our Meaningful Use, and had an issue with the letter that Eyefinity provided us with. I am submitting a new letter and hopefully we will pass the audit. Has anyone else with Eyefinity EHR been audited?

Hi. I am an Office Manager/Optician in the same boat. We started Eyefinity EHR July 20, 2015. Our elderly OD is struggling and I need to be able to assist and scribe.

Am I to understand that these software vendors do not supply training and support with the purchase of their product?

That's what I was just thinking rbaker. I would think that there would be some kind of support from the vendor since you are purchasing the product.

A support team is only as good as they are trained to be. Therefore, if the support team is inadequate, good luck getting legitimate answers to your issues

I am actually preparing to go live with EHR / EPM. There does seem to be quite a bit of confusion over at Eyefinity support. Lots of kinks in the system as well. For instance, their EPM / Frames Data link produces a ton of duplicates, mispriced, and unpriced items. We were unaware of this during training because we were training in a sandbox environment. When the live version got dropped, we immediately ran into a few issues. I am actually on hold with their customer support now waiting to ask a question about frame inventory.

Lets see. Poor support and confusion. Kinks and inaccurate data, bogus pricing. Am I to understand that you are about to "go live" with these bozos and entrust them with your vital enterprise data?

    What's the deal . . . lowest price?

we have and use the EHR with officemate... it works pretty good... the bottle neck is the WIFI. Our issue is we are near a residentual area ie lots of apartments so if you scan the 2.4ghz I see about 20 active wifis... our modem has the 5g option so I switched us over to that... but range is super short, I even put a repeater right in between the two exam rooms and once in a while still have a connection issue.

    Dick,

I have been strongly considering asking for a refund. But it is a fairly new system, and so far they have (slowly) been able to fix everything.

But, on the possibility that I do refund, who would everybody recommend? Revolution EHR? Compulink?

Honestly, our support and training with Eyefinity EHR has been TERRIBLE. They gave us hard-to-watch videos (computer-generated voices, etc) and a woman trained us for the day who was the most unhelpful human I've ever encountered.

Similar experience here. I am on the phone with a lady who did not know whether we were discussing frame or lens inventory (talking about Titmus / Ray-Ban / Oakley / and Wiley-X). I think I am about to pull the plug. That is a lot of employee hours and my time down the tube. Maddening.

OK people, what to we switch to? I need software that just works and makes sense.

I'm in the same boat. I chose Eyefinity EHR over Examwriter because I thought it was newer, easier and more tablet enhanced. I think I made a huge mistake and may need to get our doc to raise h*ll to get out of our contract. My concern of choosing something other than the two is that I'll have to also change our practice management software (from Officemate).... which meaning $$$ and lots of staff training time. I have found customer service at Eyefinity EHR very un-knowledgeable about their own product.

I have been told by numerous sources that Eyefinity EHR was released too soon and the suckers who jumped are paying to beta test the product. It has the potential to be awesome in a couple of years, once they get all the kinks out.

Personally, I am on the fence about sticking with something I know, such as Officemate / Examwriter or trying Crystal PM. I have watched several demos and played in a few sandboxes, had staff try a few things, and if the exam portion is as easy to change on the fly as it seems, we may make the switch.

    They're still working on that.

I think the question is which is the best lousy choice.

I wouldn't bet against MakeOptics creating a guerrilla program. I think he has one for optical shops but the doc's world is a lot larger and more complicated.

Status Update: Checked out several EHR programs at VE West. We settled on Revolution EHR. Interviewed multiple resources, and the consensus was that Revolution is the closest to "it just works" that anybody has. Pricing isn't bad either. Looking forward to implementing over the next few weeks.

Good luck! It is in our number two spot. Crystal is still just past it, though some of that has to do with the back end.

With all these fantastic user experiences I am thinking that I might just come out of retirement and start cranking out code again.

"Hold on Dick, get a grip on yourself. Light up a doobie (legal here in The Peoples Republic of Oregon.) Take another handful of Quaaludes, Xanax, Valiums or anything else kicking around the old stash (medicine cabinet.)

You would have to be stock raving nuts to want to reenter the fray, trying to satisfy ever-changing requirement for a bunch of bone heads who don't know what they want or need and are unwilling to pay you for your work."

Sorry, youse guys are on your own. You might just want to revert back to the good old paper and pen system. It served us well for hundreds of years.

    Compulink, hands down.

The out of the box utility combined with the customization combined with the practice management capabilities, combined with the coding and billing, combined with the customer care team, combined with the expandability make Compulink the best option.

Slim, you may be sharing not only frequency, but channel. If you haven't already, then configure your wifi settings on different channels until you find one that has less interference. You can change the channel AND the frequency, so maintaining the range of 2.4Ghz may still be possible if you change to a different channel with less interference.
