What are your plans for business hours for Christmas week?

I have been in optical retail for more than 20 years,and sales are always about the same this time of year. I no longer fight it, if you stay at the shop, you wish you were home, if you stay home you are glad you did! Taking a little extra time off over the holidays will not affect your bottom line much, but it will improve your health and happiness!
I will close mid-afternoon Tuesday and return on Monday the 30th. When I return Monday, several people will come in and comment that they were in, and I wasn't here, I simply say no I wasn't, I was spending time with my family! Most people are very supportive, and most not be to upset because they are there to do business with you.
I hope you all manage to take a little extra time off this year!Terry Agin

We shut tues 24th Dec @ 12.00 and dont re-open till monday 6th Jan..

I am starting to feel guilty. We will work a half day on the 24th and re-open normal hours on the 26th. We have a family store so we'll put the family to work. :D

We do the same, Excel-Lentes! It is our feeling that we want to be open when the people are off work and school. You'd be surprised how many people use that time to do Dr appts, pick out glasses, get them adjusted, etc. Especially the college kids home on break.
