Ok, I'll ask, who's making them?
There are rules. Knowing those are easy. There are exceptions to the rules. Knowing those are easy. Knowing when to use them is slightly less easy. There are exceptions to the exceptions. Knowing those is a little more tricky, and know when to use those is even more so. Our industry is FULL of all of the above.

I ordered them from 3 rivers, I'm guessing airwear? But I don't know, usually they use younger for trans poly I think

Vision Ease isn't Transitions (brand), they're LifeRx.

No one has made a Transitions brand Polycarbonate lined multi-focal (ST-28, ST-35, 7x28) to the best of my knowledge. The only ones who have done anything close has been Vision Ease with their LifeRx line (which is available in ST-28, 35, and 7x28). Their initial attempt didn't work out very well, with some delamination issues. The current incarnation has much better results, and I don't think I've seen a delamination in about 3~4 years.

So, if you're getting an actual Transitions (brand) Poly ST-28, yeah, you've got our attention.

I try not to presume people's level of knowledge. I'd rather over explain and have someone tell me to shut up, they already know what I'm telling them, than under explain, and have them not know what I'm saying.

Three Rivers doesn't have anything on their website about them, which is a surprise since I would expect the advent of such a lens to be heavily advertised. Transitions doesn't have anything on their website either. I expected at least a "now finally available" announcement or the like. Which leads me to guess that they're in the lab testing stage and still working out any remaining issues.

Time to make some phone calls.

Younger does trans in trivex ft28, but I don't think they have it in poly. That would be breaking news!

    LENNY, thank you.

Harry, care to share who the labs are (even in a PM)?

Because there hasn't been a product launch yet. It isn't available to everyone yet.
