Taking the Georgia State Board in February! HELP!!!

    Hi Everyone,

I am currently licensed in NY and NC. I am moving to Georgia and there is no reciprocity, I have applied to take the state board and been approved for February 2015. Any details on what is on the test and what is involved in it; what I need to bring with me, prep for, etc. will be greatly appreciated. All insights and advice are needed and will be helpful. Thank you in advance!

    Jen

The test consists of neutralizing glasses. You will get a tray with SV, FT-28, PAL and cataract glasses and a worksheet for jotting down all the measurements. After time is up you will move to another room where you can transpose your measurements onto a scantron-like answer sheet.
Don't forget to focus the eyepiece on the lensmeter before you start and good luck!

Thank you! So that's it? Just neutralizing? I don't have to bring tools or pupilometer etc? Any written part at all? Just making sure. Thanks again for answering, really appreciate it!

No tools of your own. Just neutralize the four pair of glasses. Know how to use the lensometry, lens clock, calipers and rulers. Nothing more than what you do every day. See you there.

Interesting, I assumed a practical would have been more indepth. But as Diane said it is what we do every day.
