Frame for a really "BIG" Guy

Customer of mine is looking for a really large frame, he is of Maori descent. To give you an idea, his PD is 78 mm.

Right now, he's wearing a 64/17 fit over frame, but looking for something a bit more durable.

    Any suggestions?

A search will find poor reviews but it may be worth a shot...

I've had a Luxottica Carlos in the office for 25 years or so that I keep to show men with big squashes who say I don't have one big enough for them. Have never found anyone who fit it. It's 64-24-160 GEP B=55 ED-72.

Never have seen a larger stock frame. Of course it was discontinued long long ago. If memory serves me Lux in those days would custom make a Carlos to any size you'd want.

    Yeah...LOL!!

The problem is the ED...It's a plano job with special filters, and the effective size of the lens I'm working with is roughly 68-69 mm. We're at kind of the limit of what's available versus what he can comfortably wear. I'm trying to convince him he needs to go into a goggle style (Hilco C2 Large) with the headstrap, but its going to take a lot of convincing LOL.

The XXl line from A&A has some very large frames. The nighthawk and navigator are both available in a 60 eye.

Stetson from Zyloware, Michael Ryen from Europa and the XXL line would all probably have something that fits the bill of what you're looking for
