Things you won't spend money on that others do.

    We all have them.

For me, it's plastic toys for kids. You know, the kind that sit on the floor after Christmas in a million pieces. I'd rather buy a bike, or a baseball glove, or a cuddly doll, or books.

For me.. going out to eat/drink. I hate spending money on food. I would rather go to the grocery store than a nice restaurant. Any meal over $10 makes me cringe. I never enjoy going out to eat enough to overcome the pain it causes me in the wallet region of my body.

However, I try to be a good tipper, and will often pay for other's meals. It's my way of trying to make up for being a crotchety old miser. You go ahead and get the fajita eggroll appetizer, steak and lobster platter, 3 Shirley Temples, and the lava cake. I'll just sit here with my kids meal grilled cheese and a water, and enjoy your company.

Pens...from both the optical and hearing world, not to mention all those legal drug peddlers rushing into the med building every morning...I'm all fixed up if the pen apocalypse ever hits.

Dollar store anything....the owner likes to buy batteries from there and put them in our BP cuffs, then wonder why they need to be replaced so often...

I am lucky the town I live in has an underground water source. All the other towns around Kansas City get their water from the Missouri river. My town used to be famous for our healing waters too. People would come from all around the world to bathe and drink it. Al Caopone used to come to town and stay at The Elms and Harry Truman even stayed their.

    A monthly cell phone plan.

A hundred bucks from trac-phone buys 2000 units for a years service. Up for renewal Dec 7 and I still have 1600 units I'll roll over into my $50 smartphone.

You are correct if you suspect I have no kids.

Ditto - We have adult kids, and seldom use the cell phone. We figure for two phones and a bazillion hours of service. we spend about $80 per year.

I also just joined the Trac phone club and sent the 2 cell phones to the garbage. I have paid $ 70.00 a month for the last 20 years, and now it is $ 40.00 every 3 month.
