Best auto-lensometer to mark lenses for in house finishing

We just got an Optek Shape edger with a manual blocker. Dotting the lenses is really slowing down the process, not to mention our space isn't set up to ergonomically do this task. Is there an automated lensometer that someone would recommend for this process or is it always better to do this manually? Is there an auto-blocker that is worth purchasing? I had a Briot before, but was never really happy with it.

Did you have an Alta blocker? If so, wouldn't that have worked? My understanding is the Shape edger could be set up to allow the use of pretty much any blocks.

I'm considering a Shape edger myself. Please tell me what you think of it and of the set-up process. Any problems?
