We currently have an Inside Sales Representative career opportunity with Nassau Vision Group in Northvale, NJ.


POSITION PURPOSE:
The Sales Representative is responsible for establishing relationships with new and existing customers to enhance sales growth.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• New business development and territory growth.
• Responsible for gaining new accounts via territory prospecting and handling inbound inquiries from marketing efforts.
• Delivery of effective sales presentations via phone / fax / e-mail
• Uses consultative selling approach with customers to drive sales and establish business partnerships
• Maintaining positive relationships with existing clients and establishing new relationships with clients, agencies and partners.
• Organizes and sets activities using our CRM system, corporate tools and software applications to document, monitor status and meet sales objectives within his/her assigned account list.
• Maintains a calendar of phone calls to be made to open accounts and obtain orders
• Identifying prospects in target markets that align with department and company objectives.
• Working with management to develop and execute a conversion plan to turn key prospects into customers.
• Sales strategy development for assigned territory to include strategic input and creative problem solving skills.
• Effectively uses all marketing support and training materials to promote account growth.
• Presents a professional image and represents the company in line with stated core values
• Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of broad brands of optical products, applying that knowledge appropriately and effectively in selling situations.


EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
• AA/AS degree preferred, or equivalent related experience in successful inside / outside sales involving persuasive interactions.
• Telephone sales experience; making 70 calls per day
• Strong interpersonal skills i.e. flexibility, adaptability and a proven ability to work in a team environment.
• The successful candidate will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and good organizational skills.
• Demonstrated computer skills (MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, & general PC navigation).
• Must be able to handle multiple concurrent tasks at one time.
• Must have ability to learn and develop a working knowledge of the optical industry and our products: eyeglass lenses, coatings, and lens prescriptions.
