Canada should stick to beer, doughnuts, and hockey, and curling, and 15 pin bowling !

I wonder who the optometrist is that signed up with them. If one opto starts this trend then the future will be a wide open slate for their expansion. Without optometrists to do their exams, they will be very limited. UNLESS they start using auto-refractors as in BC. Shades of Great Eyeglasses returns to Ontario.
Website says....contact us to book an eye exam. that could meen there is an opto on the premises or they have an arrangement with a local opto, who will do their eye exams for them. Either way....not a good thing.
So what? Now they too will enjoy all the costs (and headaches) associated with having a B&M. I would look at it as just another cheap optical opening up. (There's plenty of those already, even in Canada I would bet.)
You missed the point. I'm sure these B&M stores are in sync with their online services. Accurate measurements will be taken to allow their patient base to peruse 24/7. With a new RX to boot. Brilliant idea. Might be a model of the future to come.
I see this as a beginning to the sucess of their ultimate goal. To break and de-regulate the optical industry in Canada. Three retail stores all ready, and how many more coming soon. If enough stores are opened, without any intervention by the provincial orders, then they will start to gain the upper hand. Eventually they will have the ability to dictate waht happens. PS: Remember that CC was told to disband and close, yet thru political and tricky methods, they were able to stay the court ruling, de-regulate a whole provinces eye care health program, obtain sole supplier rights to eye care benefits programs and continue to grow. You are not dealing with just a few corporate CEOs but with the unknown world of power people who's main interest is profits. It is a whole different whole in the upper echalons of big busines and when the "good old boy's" get togeather, watch out.
