    Lets talk frame innovation

How many improvements have been made on frames over the years (lets say 75 years)? Which is the one you think was best?

What innovations do you see coming in the future of frames?

Might want to move this to general optics and eyecare discussion forum

Beta titanium, memory metal styles and Silhouette style drills are a few of my faves.

    Also, these look neat: http://eyenavision.com/products/phyzics
There are rules. Knowing those are easy. There are exceptions to the rules. Knowing those are easy. Knowing when to use them is slightly less easy. There are exceptions to the exceptions. Knowing those is a little more tricky, and know when to use those is even more so. Our industry is FULL of all of the above.

No keep it simple and inexpensive. Make it a loop piercing for the glasses to sit on. People don't seem to mind those ghastly face piercings. And many many of them.

    Cellose Nitrate, = Celluloid (flammable)

The 3 piece tension-mounting system. Here's another one for cellulose acetate.

    3D printed frames

A website that would allow you to design your own frames. Then, with a mouse click, a design file is sent to a lab where it's printed, traced...etc.

Blue Jumper Reinvent some of the good old days. .................................

Some Frame Manufacturer will get rich by making again the same frame in 3 different bridge sizes and at least 3 different lens sizes.

Reinvent some of the good old days.
