Looking for a Tap and handle...

Working at a new place, and I dont have a tap and handle here...

So i looked through 3 or 4 books, like hilco and optisource.

I found the taps but had a skinny driver.
I would like a big handle (had a wood one before) and possibly taps they have 3 sides cut into shank. 1.3-1.4-1.5-1.6

If anyone has or knows where I can get a set... or what they use to fix stripped frames.

Have you tried self tapping screws? They come from Hilco in the sizes you mention.

lol, yes, the issue is, once in a while the spring hinge hole wont tap with those and break the screw off in the process.

I've been using them for years and have never had that happen. You obviously are using the incorrect diameter.

You can get a pin vise from your local hardware store or industrial supply house. If they dont let you out of the office unescorted you can fine them online at McMasters or Graingers. Not just for use with taps but also broaches and tapered reamers. Everyone should have one.

Try putting a drop of light oil on the screw threads and then back the screw out a bit periodically as you screw it in.
