need lensometer pad for Marco 101

My Marco 101 lensometer pad is chewed up and no longer holding ink. Does anyone have an extra you are willing to send me? For that, name your price + overnight shipping USPS.

Or is it ok to cut a piece of ordinary felt to size?

Yes felt works just fine also........or take the pad tray down to the local office supply store and show them what you are wanting to do. Buy a small ink pad of any kind and cut it to size. TA DA!

So it's not a stupid idea! I thought the original pad looked just like...felt. I checked in all the usual catalogs, but can't find just the pad. Thanks so much for the confirmation.

Un-Inked stamp pad (will need to be trimmed in half long ways)

Do other people have trouble finding just the pads and have to get creative like this?

Being an optician, I'm going to try the cheap option first :)

They switched to holding ink in the "points" in later versions, instead of the pad so the pads are discontinued.

Are you speaking of cartridges? I really despise those. If your cartridge runs dry, you have to cough up a new one in a hurry. Yes, I know some people plan ahead and keep a back-up around. I'd rather McGyver something.

I used the felt, but it tore up within a week. Bought the 12 pack of un-inked pads from the amazon link above and it's much denser and holds ink really well. Now I have 24 pads!

yes, the cartridges... There is more money in the cartridges than the pads... I am sure.
