    Hello,

I need any information on Optometrist privileges in a hospital setting. I know this may vary from state to state. Any OD'S in this situation please let me know your pros & cons.

    Thanks,
    Bryan

    Hi Bryan,

I am contracted to service 21 health care facilities in our area. Most of them are nursing homes. I network with local OD's who do my exams. They have exclusive management over diagnostic and refractive procedures and I have exclusive management over Optical DME.

I'm not exactly sure of your intent by reviewing the context of your post. However, I will tell you that here in PA I must have a minnimum of 1 million dollars of Professional Liability Insurance before I even walk through the doors of a nursing home or hospital.

    Kevin
