Profit & Loss Excel help

Hello!

So.. I'm trying to create a template for a monthly/yearly Profit and Loss statement in Microsoft Excel. I don't have the option for any other software, unless it is already part of the Microsoft Office Suite. Does anyone have a blank template they could send me, or even a general list of the line items to include. I have a good base idea, but I'm sure I will forget something, so I hoping the amazing knowledge of my fellow Optiboarders can help me out!

Microsoft has a P&L on line you can download, but I think it would be easier to create your own with expenses specific to your operation. Are you tracking payroll and employee expenses also, or just Income and cost of good sold. Our practice has its reports but I keep my own for the optical shops so I can track what I feel I need to track.

I'm trying to create one that tracks everything, as if it was my own optical business. Then it can be tweaked as needed.
