tragic. what a mess
how insane
Please....the facts...only the facts.
From the news account:
1. Robbery suspect is dead.
2. Store had been robbed before.
3. Not a violent neighborhood. (What do you call numerous robberies - tranquil?)
4. Many shots fired. Sounds like the store owner was a better shot than the "alleged" robber.
5. Insane..for sure.
6. Tragic? Yes, it's tragic that an optician needs to have a gun in his store to protect his assets, but luckily he did.

The owner and employees are all physically ok. It was an employee who shot the armed robber.

http://fox6now.com/2014/09/09/after-...tore-targeted/Innovative Optique remains closed after the armed robbery and fatal shooting. The windows are covered in paper, and a sign says the building has been turned over to its landlord. This, as we’ve learned another optical store was targeted in a robbery just this week.
Closed for good I suspect. Word on the street is that there's a contract out on the owner and his brother.

The information came from a frame rep I talked to yesterday, confirmed by a client I saw this morning who knows Lupe, the owner.
Everybody's scared...it's as if ISIS has penetrated the urban gangs. To make matters worse, the courts release the bad guys faster than the cops can track them down. I think it's worse than the crack cocaine wars.
