I'm using the 7. Though I have the 7 in brown and I prefer the color of the 6 better.

We're mostly transitioning (no pun intended) into 7, but for a few products the T6 is the only brown option.

might as well make the switch and not fight progress. I like the 7 in both colors better. It also helps sell it to people who have had them in the past and are on the fence about purchasing them again, Even though the transition reps make it seam like no one could possibly dislike the product and would be shunned by society if they did.

I actually personally prefer T6 over 7, but there's no fighting the tide.

6 is dwindling as stock is used up, in fact some lenses you can't get 6 in anymore. The question is a moot point.

Yup, that's my understanding. T6 is no longer being produced, so when it's gone...it's gone for good.

Don't use transitions at all, except for vantage, drivewear and xtractive, oh and occasionally the purple golf transitions from Shamir.

T7 as our labs automatically upgrade to T7 whenever we request transitions.
Bumped up the price slightly as well.

no transitions at all...save for 3 out of 4 available products they offer.

My office really likes the color of the T7. Not sure how much patients are actually noticing tho.

yeah i was kind of joking. But i avoid transitions where possible, it's just no one makes products comparable to those three.

My 7 grey pair don't get as dark as my 6 grey pair does. We didn't have a price difference from our lab when they started offering 7 so we just use 7 to simplify things.

I'm impressed that Transitions is offering to give people a couple pieces of pieces of clingy plastic and people are freaking out trying to get them.

Wow really? I would have trans replace the 7s if that's the case. For me 7 is a huge upgrade over 6 in every way. If 6 was available at a lower price I would probably use it also

I don't think so. Labs are working through existing inventory which is being replenished with T7.

T6 is available in VX and essilor lenses. It might be something to do with VSP.

At least they discontinue their older products.

I wish more people would. Think of the simplicity.

It seems to me the 7's are slightly darker indoors. Anyone else notice this?

They definitely take a noticeably longer time to get to "clear" than the 6's do, but this is at the benefit of getting MUCH darker outside, much faster and in much higher temperatures.

If a Trans 6 and Trans 7 come out of a desk drawer, they look the same amount of "clear" to me.

I haven't had one person complain about their tint retention, at which point I would offer them LifeRx (which visionease has fading clear fastest of all photochromics) or a clear pair.

Trans 7 get so dark so fast that my sales of xtraactives have dipped slightly.
