I'm still waiting to hear, but an ex Pearl employee called me, and I wanted to see if what she said was true, or just sour grapes.

Our practice closed on all the corporate Pearle's in Jacksonville FL in November, so we own the "Brand" in our market, 6 stores in the region. I know they are "encouraging" a more franchised model for the Pearle brand. Something like 90% licensed operators (LUX corporate parlance for a franchise) and 10% corporately owned. Don't know if that is happening in NE Ohio but it did happen in NE Florida.
