    Polarization Problemization

Chemistrie Clip. Patient can't see LCD dashboard display. Glasses already made.

I'm told there are no non-polar Chemistrie lenses for a remake.

    I'm sunk. Is there a work-around?

Pt will not necessarily benefit from a rotated lens. Have they never worn polar before? Often in motor vehicle interiors, multiple displays can be installed with different angles of polarization on their respective screens. So you may fix the nav system's appearance, but black out the clock for example. Worst case scenario would be difficulty viewing the main gauge cluster (assuming it's of an LCD type, and not a more common EL display).

Remember of course, that if you change the angle of the lenses to suit one screen in one particular vehicle, that the patient then runs the risk of loosing ALL benefit of the polar filter in the rest of their world, and of course, while looking out the windscreen when driving as well. Can I take some sunglass demo lenses and edge them? I guess not?

You could do...but then there's the problem of proper magnet mounting and placement in the new non-polar sun lenses. Has this client seriously never worn polar shades before? And what is the info they're 'missing' in the car that is so critical I wonder?

Send it to me. I'll cut you a deal. Chem has non-polar G-15 and brown.
