A wide magazine or newspaper can give a great demonstration for the patients to show where the channel of vision is on a progressive lens. I like to use it and have conversations about getting a second pair of office style lenses or dedicated reading lenses if the patient desires edge to edge mid/near viewing. For intermediate I have them look at a computer we have at the office. Its a good demonstration aid to use a desktop computer and to mention that if their computer is mounted or in an unusual position then it may need some adjusting. Although you should have already determined that before you made the lenses so as to avoid computer use complaints. Anyways, thats my two cents
