Seiko Surmount
+1
also, have had a lot of success with the Supercede II 1.67
Seiko Surmount, my mom has a similar rx and she loves them.
May want to look into the Autograph 3 that has improved intermediate channel parameters for + Rx's and other enhancements...
thanks everyone!
Try the Varilux S lens.....remarkable lens you'll have to take some additional measurments tho like panto, vert and wrap which will A. make the pt feel super special that your paying so much attention to her, and B. create a lens specifically tailored to her needs and fields of vision. Tada!
Only 2 lenses available in the US offer a fully realigned corridor that will compensate for the differences in how Hyperopes converge (as compared with Myopes):
The Surmount and the Zeiss Individual 2.
99% of free-form progressives are designed for myopes, since 94% of initial presbyopes are myopes. That changes radically as we age, by the age of 70 40% of patients have switched.
The easiest way to think of those 2 great lenses is they are essentially free-form lenses, within a free-form lens. They both work by realigning the corridor to match the new eye path and compensate for horizontal unwanted prism that shifts direction between myopes, and hyperopes. The result for most Hyoperopes in many progressives are fatigue and VERY narrow fields of view. Most other free-form lenses only adjust the reading power to compensate for the change in vertex and angle.
The Nikon SeeMax does not have a fully realigned corridor ?
