    Medical Devices Agency

Running a small glazing outfit I registered with the MDA about 4 years ago.
I have had no correspondence with them since. It niggles my mind wondering if i continue to comply with their regulations.
Does anybody here liase with them or can anybody recommend any literature i could read to ensure i am operating within their guidelines?
Im sure i do, only using CE approved suppliers, regularly checking focimeters with Burton guage, keeping all delivery notes/ order forms etc.
    Any feedback appreciated.

    Rick:

I can't help you, but if they are anything like our OSHA, or EPA, for God's sake don't ask them. You will be visited by people from the agency, they will drive you nuts with regulations you never heard of, tell you how to modify your office to make it compliant for the handicaped and other regulations and issue "warnings". Warnings are not just notices of what you must do, but come with heavy fines. A friend of mine had a wholesale lab in Louisianna, they found a jug of Alcohol that was not labeled , issued a "Warning Ticket" which had a $7000.00 fine attached.
This inspite of the fact that his least experienced employee had been with him 17 years and they all knew what was in the jug.

Rick, You could try looking round their web site to see if there's anything of interest there. I dont think you will here from them unless you hit a problem they get called into investegate.
