    Confused how to target US retailers?

    what are the best ways of reaching US retailers besides exhibiting vision expo east & west? join buying group? any advantages & disadvantages for a frame manufacturer to join buying group? or any better solutions?

    If you are selling frames, you could hire frame reps. This is how most do it. You could advertise in the trade magazines. You could use social media. You could do email blasts.

    There are too many unknowns to know what would be the most effective. What is your budget? How deep is your frame line? Who is your target audience? Can you support exclusive reps or multi line reps?

    If you are selling higher end frames, people will want to see and touch them and you will probably need reps. Lower end, maybe you can sell via catalog and your success will be more driven by high volume, low margin product.

    Buying groups can work, but they want product their members desire. You will need to prove there is a demand for your product.

    What it really sounds like is you need to retain some paid help from someone with sales experience in the frame business.

    It is better way to target the US retailers.
