I had a chance this weekend to try them for an hour or so, and while I was impressed with the technology, I ended up with a massive headache from using them.
First, the current generation (and perhaps the next as well) requires that you view the "screen" up and far to the right of your normal vision.
Next, the screen is about two inches from your eye, about 1" from a pair of spectacles.
With anyone wearing an even moderate amount of correction, plus or minus, there is going to be a ton of induced prism from the viewing angle, not to mention the the induced cylinder from looking obliquely through the lens.
I foresee a coming demand for jewelers spots for spectacles. The next generation is supposed to be supplied with an Rx'able frame, the current generation is just a frame with no lenses, unable to hold lenses.
