how much residual tint is there on transitions vantage? is it noticeable when indoors?
About the same as extra-active. (Very slow fade rate also)
Yes, yes, yes. The color is definitely noticeable. I tried it and did NOT like how it looked, nor did I like how my world became a little greenish/gray. So I took my pair and it is now set aside as an example for patients to see and try on.
I have no issue recommending this for the right patient, but for me, no way.
in general the word on the street/web is that the Vantage lenses change very slowly to clear, even though the company does not admit this. what about the xtractive? are they slower? is the indoor tint very noticeable?
I would agree that the Vantage clears up a little slower, but still not too bad. If the xtractive is faster or slower than the vantage, I think the time difference is negligible. The tint in the xtractive is noticeable, but I still think the Vantage is more noticeable when indoors. I've found the xtractive to be successful for those who are a bit light sensitive and work in bright fluorescent lights all day.
Vantage lightens MUCH more slowly than XTRActive.
Call your lab and ask for a sample, they like it when you buy stuff from them so they're likely to come off a stock lens for you.
I am actually wearing a pair as we speak and with mine there is none very clear indoors
Contact the transitions rep in your area. They're more than happy to send you displays with sample lenses. If you don't know who your rep is call your lab. They can tell you who it is and give you contact information.
