    think green

I'm thinking for some time about recyclation of plastic waste (chips) after generating.
Does somebody have an experience ?

Because they aren't marked with the recycle symbol, most recycling places will not accept it. They will also be contaminated with any coolant, and that also rules out recycling. Mixing types of plastic (1.49/1.6/1.7) would also be a no-no.

I find that somewhat difficult to believe.

    heh...pictures don't show for me.

I find it very difficult to believe that they can recycle plastic lens swarf & generator cuttings. I doubt the "closed loop" comment for the grindings as well.

Liquids, maybe, but even then, over time, the constant recycling of liquids leads to breakdown, mold & bacteria growth. A truly closed loop would also totally enclose the generating and grinding chambers so that there is no splash loss (and therefore out of the system waste).

    I just don't believe it.

"Zero waste lab" is affensprecht (monkey talk) for the great unwashed. "Green" is the newest and latest buzzword to impress the low intelligent masses.

I was there and saw if a few months ago. It is a closed system and is amazing. They also do not do glass in RX any longer.

Is your generator waste wet or dry cut?
