Okay I'll bite, just checked and costs on this sports frames are pretty much WM retail for Rec Specs so where is the competitive advantage??? Price aside + WM shoppers don't seem to go together very well.

I have NO idea what the list price on ProGear are...only what I pay. I also have no idea what price you would pay if you pay the listed price. Go to VEW, meet the vendor, and negotiate your price. That's something you WON'T do with RecSpecs.

I glanced at the Progear site...couldn't find any info on ASTM testing. Do they meet ASTM standards?

Give them a call. Some of the models do but there are limitations.

i carry a bunch from leader, through hilco. i have been very happy along with the kids from my football team that have changed over to these.

once i sell these down, considering the new hilco model (i dont like the way the strap connects, that plastic tab wears down quickly then doesnt stay connected. these may be better about that, but its slowing me down on ordering them now)

and progear. I have done a lot of business with acuity, i like the company and business model, so i would like to support them when possible.

That is completely correct about the warranty. They are also told that if they want any parts they must contact Liberty themselves

The field reps can only do so much and members of management don't always listen there
