    Thumbs up What's in a Frame?

    We get asked why certain frames cost more than others all of the time. I found this article and realized that there are really good answers to that question beyond the short and sweet answer of one is made better than the other.

    A patented design could add another 2 % to 8% to the frame cost.

    Mr. David Chao, the president of Wonderful Optical in Taiwan who owns the patent right of magnetic clip-on worldwide. Aspex in Canada pays him certain % of roality to market this patented products + making more $ on law-suits.
