I guess the Maui's at least use bigradient mirror and special polarizing and stuff, but how is the back surface AR? It used to be kinda single-layer-y.

And what's so special about Maui's polarization, anyway? Can't a nice KBCo or NuPolar get the job done right?
I feel like Maui has such a specific focus on optics and quality. i have the "top of the line" essilor lenses, and i still see better out of my maui jim's. plus i had them back in 4 days. Oakley i've worn, and i don't see any difference. the back surface AR is less finger printy and smudgy than my saphires :) more kool-aid please.

they really are just super phenomenal to deal with. its worth the lower mark up for their qualitiy and customer service. i'd rather they be able to pay their employees a decent wage and have ones who care then give them minimum wage so i can make more money off of the patients. but thats just me.

Well, we probably are seeing that Pech or whomever they contract with is a great lab, right?

Couldn't we use Pech for everything, anyway, like el jefe mentioned above?

Pech does the fancy mirror colors for Rudy Project jobs.

All the rules are limiting for higher rx people, but it's their product with their name on it. So it's up to them how it's sold, really. They're the ones giving up business; we can framestyle into something more appropriate to the rx.

I disagree. They sold the product to you. It's yours. You can do with it what you want. It's not like some consumer is going to say "Dang, look at that -7.50 in the Oakley frame...I'm not ever going to buy Oakley again." It damages their brand not at all!

Now, maybe they don't want to sell to you anymore, but I find it totally ridiculous to think that they're into anything other than $$$.

And where are the Oakley Rx-limit police! Hah!

Like bringing your own candy to the movies...Oakley sells a frame only and the theatre sells the tickets only, if they police it too much THEN it will hurt their business.

No rx limits on the Oakleys? That's refreshing. Used to do Serengeti RX and their limits were really limiting.

Barry's deleted post is leading me to believe there are rx limits on the Oakleys or Barry is breaking Oakley Law
