Needed this valuable resource today. Don't know if it's a glitch, site improvements or if we're out of luck for some time. I'm interested in any info on the current fate of www.TheLensGuru.com

Subscribed last week and Tony's thank you note mentioned he was hoping to do some work to add more content as he is not seeing as much traffic as he'd liked too.

I assume this is only temporary.

When you charge a sub fee I'm sure he will see a steady drop.

I understand he took alot of time and effort to put that site together but come on, that information can be obtained for free if you look hard enough.

I'm thinking he should have went the advertisment or sponsership route. I'm not sure alot of people are going to pay for that!!

Do you always have the time to look hard enough when you need the information now? For what he is charging, I still can't for the life of me understand why anyone would complain. The membership fee can pay for itself in time the first time you really need it.

I'm just keeping it real.

Most people that used the site are not going to pay for it. Hence the decline in traffic. It would be like this site. If it was mandatory to pay for this site do you think the traffic would decline on this site?

I know there are alot of people who do pay here but, there would be alot less traffic coming to this site if that were the case.

This is a project that has gone subscription for what? A couple of months?

I believe going to a paid (only $28 a year btw) format is an attempt to metaphorically speaking separate the wheat from the chaff as the free site was generating to many questions and demands from the public (like Otiboard before it went ECP only).

I don't think he's expecting to be rolling in dough from the get go.

Already did! He said it should be up and he is continuing to work on it and add info. A work in progress!

Should be working. I just logged out, went to a totally different site and came back, logged on with no issue.
