Vacuuming out the inside of an Edger?

a 9000sx to be precise. I can clean the inner chamber pretty good but poly and trivex dust is starting to accummulate inside near the boards and tracer. I vacuumed out the inside to the best of my ability as well as the tracer, and it seemed to lead to better performance. However because of the tight inside design of the 9000 standard vacuum hoses don't really get down in there (I'm not trying to force a larger vacuum attatchment in there and ending up breaking some very important board or something.)

I saw this vacuum attatchment hose for cleaning out dryer filters that looks like it would be the solution to all my problems

Does anyone else have a better suggestion?

    Thanks guys.

    Tallboy,
I use a small shopvac and I was able to get a set of small attachments for the hose. Small pieces. And the set was under $20. The different pieces included a long skinny hose (although not flexible as in your pic), one with a brush end (useful), and a few that are angled (also handy). The set was at my big orange box store.

This is what I bought to vacuum out sewing machines, computers and keyboards.

I would caution you vacuuming near circuit boards as static my "zap" your system. Instead of suction think blowing...place vac hose on the exhaust a simply blow debris clear.

I use a Miele Microset. I believe they are available at electronics stores for vacuuming circuit boards. It attaches to your vac hose and has an assortment of nozzles to reach into small areas, and makes it much easier to thoroughly clean the edger.

Always ALWAYS unplug the edger when you're doing anything inside the edger, don't just turn it off because there is still power to the machine. I always leave the machine unplugged for 20 min after. I also use the Mini Shopvac attachments they work perfect. Also a trick for the tracer is use your old leap tape on a daily bases to pull the debris from the tracer area. No blowing cause that will only gum up the gears. Be sure if you're a trivex user to clean the black sensors especially the LMU sensor. The smoke and dust gets on the sensors and your LMU will act up and guess what the service call will cost you? They will diagnose it with a faulty LMU. Its just a dirty sensor.

Darn. The pieces in this set, except for the flexible hose, look EXACTLY like the set I bought at the Big Orange. I'd even bet it was the same factory!
